We will have one every 100 feet. This is not an option.
I am a certified Fire fighter in WI, and I am hardcore about making this safe.
If anyone can find a regulation on the required spacing, we will go with that. The most likely place for this would be the NFPA regulations. Any fire department wil have this for free otherwise it costs a lot to get ahold of one.

So you've done both security and firefighting? Thank you for serving your community!
Are you really that concerned about a mostly stone structure going down? Every 100 feet is about every 30 meters, or for me, 30 steps. That's a lot a fire extinguishers! I don't think I've ever seen that many in any facility other than college dorms, in which everything is either fire-proof or fire-retardant, except for the students. Best to go line for line by state regulation, and save the extra extinguishers for the more modern structures.

First thank you for your support, I have served in police, security, fire, and military positions in the past 10 years. I am proud of it. Agian thank you.
As for the fire ext placmemnts, the village and the wooded areaas will have a lot of consumable area for a fire, therefore I would rather be safe there. OTher options could be explored for cost effectiveness.
