Now I don't know if there'll be a separate fantasy realm as there is in the Realms of Legend, but a village or at least a settlement in the woods would be nice. Workers there would be able to run educational sessions on tracking, outdoor first aid, wilderness survival, etc.
If you are going to include a fantasy element, a wood elf village in the trees would be awesome if it was doable. Think of the woodland village in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. I don't know how much legal stuff you'd have to go through to get that cleared or even built, but I know people would love it. Now, note there are wood elves and high elves that can both live in the forest. High would be more of a modern existence, maybe with more than just wood planks nailed together, like Lothlorien. Wood or sylvan elves are what you might consider Native Americans, much more of a tribal and "primitive" existence if you look at it that way.
If you can't get it up in the trees, I would go for some other sort of camoflauge or natural defense, then. Maybe among some bluffs. Outside of a fantasy element, I don't know if you'd be able to attribute it to druids since they tend to be reclusive and shy away from most forms of civilization...at least in my understanding. It'd have to be some sort of hunter/trader/tracker outpost, or maybe just a group of people looking to live in harmony with nature. That'll provide room for low impact living conditions and even more to teach whoever should happen by.

You are both right. sirilay, i've looked at your groups website, your profile shows your very knowedgalbe of these elves. When the council is formed, i may have to get you appointed to handle these affairs.
My plan was to crate two large wooded areaas one for rennies and the other for the fantasy. Get me some numbers in the area of acreage needed for an elven 'village' and i'll post that in the Land Map area as a required division of the property.
*****
My idea of this place is that the whole realm of fantasy and medieval somehow managed to coexist in some form, maybe a story about a magician that somehow screwed up a dimesional vortex and casued everyone to live together somehow. or something. An idea for another thread.

Of course anything's doable, but I know there are certain safety requirements for such a place. Unless they sign a waiver that releases Phantasy Kingdom from responsibility of injury, you might have to be tethered or something. I can look any safety regulations and put you in touch with some people from high ropes courses in Wisconsin.
As for acreage...hmmm...I've always imagined an elf village on my old property, which was about 7 1/2 acres, but I don't know how many acres of woods PK has to work with. It also depends on the kinds of trees. Of course, there is always creating trees, but I feel that would take away from the realism.
*laughs* And I'm confused as to how my Dag website shows the extent of my knowledge of elves, but I'll take the compliment anyway.

Honestly, I intend to find some heavily wooded land and then cut back whats not needed. and the cut down wood will be used for the onside buildings and what-nots. I would prefer not to have to cut much down, if at all. but then, we want to be realistic, so we will need wood. Anyways, off a ramble. In terms of real estate I am searching for 50-70% wooded lots.
On the issue of the Elven knowledge, honestly, i have not seen any sites about someone that portray thier persona with strong information. Most of them just mention that they are and what they themselves do. I got a sense of history out of your 'profile'. Good job.

Interesting link. Is this for a gaming system? I could not tell from the information given. If so, they are breaking sooooo many copyright laws by using the elven languages of Tolkien. They might want to be careful about that...
Agreed: in true elven tradition, as little as possible should the forest and her rhythm be disturbed. I would not stand for the sacrifice of nature for seeing PK get on its feet.
I like the idea of a valley. I can see celebrations held around firepits, young ones falling asleep to the sounds of drums and flutes, and warriors and dancers giving their thanks for glorious victories and beautiful nights. There would be so many other things besides education that would come out of an elven village.
