I can speak for Adventures in Mid-Land in New York as well as Narnia Dagorhir in Buffalo. I can have folks send a reference, but my involvement in both groups is pretty well documented. Since I feel it is good to toot your own horn at least once a year .. I started Adventures in Mid-Land in 1985 and we have run events once or twice a month every year since. We host about 55-65 players per event, and maintain a medium to high standard for garb, weapons, and armor. the primary objective of Mid-Land is to provide a LARP that is focused on plot and player interaction, and avoids large numbers of points and skills. www.adventuresinmidland.comMy second group is a unit in Dagorhir based on the Chronicles of Narnia. Simply known as Narnia-Dagorhir, we strive to exceed the current standards of Dagorhir costuming and technology. In the out local area Narnia holds regular events including themed field battles, indoor combat mazes, and feasts. Last year Walt Disney came to film the unit as a background piece for the current movie the Lion the Witch and Wardrobe. They spent three days living with us and filming what we do. narnia.kjcreate.com/Aside from that, I have spent the past 17 years exploring the world of LARP including participation in over 27 different LARP and live combat groups in the United States and Canada. I have always felt that the only way to run a quality LARP is to full explore the world around you. Every LARP has something to teach, good or bad. Not sure if that is what you are looking for response wise. Magnus

We do need a rep for the non-national LARP groups. So If you can go ahead and have them send a recc for you. I think we can get you in that spot.
Perhaps we may even need a local organizer for the creation of an East Coast Phatasy Kingdom site.
Soounds like a good plan Magnus, thanks for offering up.

We already have a rep from Amtgard.
as for the others, I have not seen them come up in a general search for LARP grops or orgs.
I'll look them up.
Thanks.

My mundain name is Duncan MacLeod...for real, my SCA name and title is Captain Duncan Blackwolf of the pirate ship the Crimson Star of the house of the Horsemen of Judgement Keep. I'm very interested in seeing something like this realized, I have often dreamed of the doing the same but never had the rescources. I've lived all over this world and the best place was in Arizona. They had a ren fair that only went on for a couple of months out of the year and I loved it. I would be willing to aid my combat knowledge and flair for the lifestyle at any time. I currently live in Oregon and was recommended by a gentlman at a plasma center here. Thanks and good luck.
