Would it behoove us to make this available at any PK site? IF so, what kind? Where to get it or make it? The works.
Let me know your thoughts.

roaming security to handle the overbearing and pushy drunks, is always a good thought. i dunno but off duty cops in full garb would be fun to see.

well the dracmor clan of bristol gets together with the mac gregor clan of bristol, (they do mock battles together) they do a pub crawl. 1st one to start crawling to the next bar (bristol has several bars of different types) buys all next rounds hehehehehe. but they watch after themselves they keep it clean. the women of both clans also drink along with the men. but they go to all the different bars/taverns/etc for this crawl.

as far as the types of alcohol they were serving varied on the different bars. some were serving the american stuff. some were serving everything from Guiness down to some wines. but my personal choices were guiness. if i couldnt get guiness i chose a type of wine that is still made today that is traditional for the period as well a good glass of MEAD

I have a good friend that works security at Bristol. He has many interesting war stories about that. Basically, alcohol is a double edged sword. It fosters getting more adults, but can cause a great deal of trouble. You need a mix of stationary and roving guards to control it. For alcohol you will need a Class B license to serve the alcohol, and I believe that one allows you to brew in small batches (otherwise you can't sell stuff you make).

I remember learning on that for my bartending license. I'll check more into it. Thank you.
I had already determined on the roving and stationary gurads though, good minds think alike *smiles* The 'tavern' will have two -bouncers- that will work with the guards and the quards will make robing patrols to checkpoints at each location that will be serving or dispersing alcohol. This is my best solution for now.

From what I understand we are going to have this as a family place. This means that alcohol can lead to trouble. If we are going to have it, it needs to be confined to limited areas. Also as we are planning on selling it to the public, this means ‘liqueur license’, last time I checked they start at $30,000. And that is only when you have local suppliers for beers.
If you do get the license, you then need a proper set up for a tavern (a bar). That required a whole new set of health codes (as if the food venders health codes weren’t strict enough). Also you need bar security. Where as normal security is good enough for the rest of the park, the bar is a whole new environment and required trained bouncers (of which I happen to be. I bounced at a night club called Club LaVela for 5 years)
Just to add to the fun mean and hard liqueurs require an different class of license. Then there is the insurance boost because you are now adding booze into the equation of the park.

Well, I dont wish to apear rude. I myslef have a Bachelro in Security Mangagment, and I am a licensed bar tender. I know what it takes to do this.
YOu are right about the 'confinement of the alcohol. And so that will be done. The only location for drinking will be the Tavern, until 10pm (or the equivalent) After such hours they will have to file a request with the 'sheriff' to have an outdoor party. All security members will be trained to handle these things. And yes, one dedicated member will be the 'bouncer' at the Tavern.

hrm, would it be cheaper to sell it at a shop and allow drinking on the premises in designated areas?

well, then the shop needs to be open for the 'live-ons' and security has have a roving patrol there too. its just easier to have it all in one spot.
Easier to be controlled.

the fests i have been too all have several different places to drink, each tavern supplies there own guards if you know what i mean. even bristol did as well. Iasin as a thought you have to make it down to bristol at least once this year so you know whats going on at faires itll help you understand whats going on at faires over all.
