There is a lady on the Dagorhir website that is doing a good deal at getting something going on a lot smaller scale down in Missouri.
When I get more details or a website or contact, I'll pass it along.

Here is the original post about this site. This was posted on Dagorhir. Hi everyone. My character name is Kahlann and I've been Dagorhir-ing for 2 years now. I absolutely love it, and now that i'm going to be a mom i'm making plans. To pay my bills I am a real estate investor/ broker. Using my career as a springboard, Ragnarok as proof that it may be do-able and my imagination, I came up with an idea last year that i've been keeping a secret. I want to build a huge castle and open a year round rennaissance fair. And I'd love to host a couple of yearly events, too. It'd be as self-sufficient as possible; live off the land, have our own livestock, that type of thing. The funding will be taken care of. The problem is this: I don't know how much land I'd need, where to buy and build this, and I'm asking for ideas and input from everyone who ever thought of this themselves. Now, this is going to take a few years to build, and I'm trying to get input now so that I know people will come and what you would want. Hopefully (time permitting) I'll have a web-site for the place in a year. Here's a general overview of what I already have: There’d be a lake (or two), tons of space for camping and fighting fields, on-site props (castles, walls, bridges, etc.), and plenty of bath houses (and some port-o-johns for the big events). The castle would be for role-play and feasts, houseing a Grand Ballroom (3 stories tall, reinforced glass ceiling, catwalk around most of the room, a platform for “thrones” and musicians, and marble floors and columns), a Great Hall (huge fireplace at one end, tables to seat 100, next to a huge kitchen), the Royal Library (basically a public library, 3 floors, attached to the school), the school would take up a wing, the sub-floors would include Dungeons, weapons rooms and armory, and I have tons of other ideas. We’d also have a chapel, a medical clinic, stables and barns (possibly a petting zoo), slaughter house, cold-storage building for any produce, grain storage silos, permanent open-air “Merchant’s Row” (and a building for bad weather), a blacksmith and weapons/ armor smith with forge, and 36-40 huts/ homes for those who want to live on-site and help with running the castle and farming the land. The school would include an auto-tech barn, auditorium for theatre and performing arts (band and choir), art studio for photography, painting, etc., a computer lab, a gymnasium for athletics and martial arts training, a chemistry and physics lab, and other amenities of today’s best high schools. We'd be licensed and have teachers on-staff. It'd be totally modern, but feel Harry Potter-ish. I was also thinking that this should be somewhere in a central/southern state so that everyone from coast to coast can come and enjoy this whenever they want. And I'm having a hard time naming the place... Ideas anyone?
